Don Quixote, Chapter II

Casa Kika is a traditional stone Maragato house, built in 1905 and restored in 2001. The house has been decorated with exquisite taste, retaining the traditional furniture and household equipment. Old chests, cupboards, irons, spinning-wheels, bobbins, washstands, photographs… are found in every corner of the house.

The entry to the house is through an imposing double doorway giving onto an interior patio. This traditional stone-paved Maragato patio is adorned with a wooden cart and sundry agricultural implements and tools used for the transport of merchandise

The dining-room, with capacity for 25 people, is reached from the patio. Next-door is the kitchen which still conserves the traditional clay oven where we prepare delicious roasts.

A wooden staircase takes us to a small lounge with television on the upper floor. From here are reached the different bedrooms and a balcony. Each room has the theme of a different region of the Province of León and all of the rooms have en-suite bathrooms and central heating.
